The rise of Low cost carriers to Asia

A new crop of low-cost airlines are on their way to Australia and the good news is that they are less at risk of failure than you might imagine.

Interesting article about the rise of more LCC across Asia with flights to Australia. Not sure I would take one on route to Europe, especially when if you have to travel 20+ hours and you need to pay for food, drinks, entertainment. Not to mention if the flights are delayed and u can't get connecting flights or heaven forbid the Airline collapses.

I don't think I could ever take a trip of more than a couple of hours on a LCC. Well not from Australia anyway and certainly not to Europe.

I have been trying to price up LCCs in Asia with luggage and golf clubs and seat selection etc etc and the price is not too far off full service carriers for the same routes.

Yes, but they serve their purpose. For someone who just needs a route from A-B they work quite well.
