The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Howdy People,
In the QF SIN lounge tonight I was sad to see the live cooking station surrounded in builders hoarding .
Apparently according to lounge hosts the live cooking station is having some essential plumbing maintenance completed this week before the Singapore Grand Prix in a couple of weeks.
The plate of the Day is still being served albeit instead of sitting at the bar beside the cooking station , one just needs to ask a host when seated at a table.

Just an FYI for anyone visiting the QF SIN lounge over the next week or so.

Hope it gets sorted ASAP.. have another visit soon.
The Chicken Wing dish sounds nice.. Would prefer to see the 'hard copy" though

Had the Spice temple chicken wings in the lounge the other week and sadly have to say they were dry and lacked taste. It was like eating card board, The Lounge manager tried them and agreed that they were dry and tasteless and that they were checking with Spice Temple to see if the recipe they had was correct.

Haha . That's rather funny that they said they are checking the recipe. .. i dont think Spice Temple is all that good anyway.

Unfortunately didn't get a chance to try the lounge on Saturday. It doesn't open until 230pm. We had a Jetstar flight to Cambodia at 2. Tried the Emirates lounge 'cause it opens at 1. Staff wouldn't let us it..not qantas or emirates!:(:(

Have to admit that when I made my last post, I was thinking of the tasty and juicy BBQ wings available from most hawker centres, for roughly $1-$2 each.

Hope mid September is the 15th......due to go through on 17th and 19th and wanted to try it out

I was in the SIN lounge the other day when quite a tropical storm hit and then well drilled cleaners appeared with a dozen buckets around the lounge.

To say I felt like I was in a German submarine film was quite the understatement.

Good to see the update will be done and dusted in a week or so - we have a couple of visits scheduled early Oct. This trip will also be our first visit to the new QF HKG lounge - although I doubt we'll bother leaving the Wing Flounge.

Well it is not as if they get a lot of storms in Singapore... Oh, hang on...!

Hope those hoardings are pulled down by next weekend as from my experience and observations the lounge will be very busy after the Singapore Grand Prix..
