The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

All good in this particular instance @AustraliaPoochie - we’re on schedule without hint of cancellation. Had been tracking it since noticing the message in the app, but looking safe as it can be.
Yeah… it’s rare that I *don’t* get that message for SYD-MEL. Perhaps it’s their way of gifting ‘flow forward’ without actually making it official? Even competing/matching with VA.

Was looking to find a thread dedicated to T-80, however the search term appears to be too short for the website to accept and search. The only thread I was able to find was the thread mainly discussing selecting Row 4 on the 737s.

Is T-80 now even a thing for international flights / non-737 flights anymore?

My flight is now within 80hrs (A330-300, in business) and I was attempting to select another seat in business (looking to get row 1), but was unable to, as the below appears:

I suspect maybe its unavailable as I'm a lowly Bronze member (it's still only available / open for CL/P1 members at this stage)?

Yes, T-80 is still a thing but not a free for all. Things can also change counting down to T-24. When OLCI opens, what’s available might show up for lower status PAX.

Noob clarification please.

Booked CR, JQ62 SYD-MEL. Lowly SG here.

QF website says "1 checked bag included". But JQ PNR says "no checked in bags". Not a biggie as I will most likely by HLO. But want to clarify with the brains here if this discrepancy is simply a glitch or are there no checked bags for QF CR flying JQ.

Historically, when booked QF CR on JQ, I was able to check bags - don't see why that should have changed. But still wanna check.

Thank you.

Thanks for that, I guess I'll just keep checking in between now and T-24.

Would be nice to get a bulkhead seat.

It takes a while for the JQ website to sync and reflect the baggage allowance. I think it was the next day for my award.

Do you have an EF account (free or paid)?, you can see what seats are already taken and what are just blocked).
