The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

Cant seem to pay with points on the app, tying to use 6900 at 15% disc points for a flight MEL -> ADL, plus $54.xx in taxes.
But it will let me book a rev tix on the website.
There is a 25% off classic rewards seats, the seats show available, but it keeps asking for my email address and mobile ph #, filled/type it in, and an error code keeps coming up, and the details keep disappearing.
They are happy to sell us a rev tix, but to use points, nope.

Are you logged in?

The screen shot suggests you’re not. Can’t use points if not logged in.

Maybe try a different browser or clear cache / cookies.

It was working earlier.

I just got an error/warning stating that they've upgrade the authentication and to try deleting browser cookies (which should force a new authentication for the device/browser).

It was the LA84 flight in the OP’s post but you’d have to pay me 19+ mil QF points to do that or LA90 or LA92! Don’t those people sleep? It’s not Argentina…😂

Haha I didn't even look so just took a random screenshot but you don't like 3:51am flights departures? (I'm a night owl but even this is a stretch)

If it were EZE or even AEP, you’d have to rush dinner to make a 03:51 flight! 😂
 
Looks like Qantas is still testing their new authentication system. It would’ve been nice if they gave us a heads-up about these updates beforehand to avoid all these glitches during the booking process
