Though it is not just vaccine doses delivered that determine doses injected. You also have demand, vaccine hesitancy, delivery capacity.
Vaccine hesitancy recently plummeted in Vic, and as there were already high capacity to inject in place it meant that demand exceeded supply. The Feds
temporarily announced extra doses to be distributed to Vic over a several week period to take advantage of that willingness to get injected.
PS. I don't think that the figures for all channels our out yet. ie State, GP and Fed. But yes Vic likely to go past NSW today on coughulative.
On the State Channel doses injected has been in front of NSW for some time and prior to the latest outbreak.
One change though was that the Fed delivered distribution to aged care (the most at risk group) that was per/population very low in Vic has now been brought up to nearer the National pro-rata figure over the last 3 weeks. Though pro-rata NSW Aged Care has still had more doses.
