In the immediately following lines (of the post you refer to) there is an article that mentions 'CSL owns the site' that BioNTech has acquired the space in. Also that it is very fast to set-up the equipment.

So CSL owns the Behringwerke facility of which a component was under a long term lease to Novartis and this long term lease(d space) was subsequently sold to BioNTech - agreed?

Commonwealth was doing old age homes and disability homes and states were supposed to be doing frontline workers, HQ etc. E.g. NSW was tasked with doing 300,000 vaccinations only. It is only over the last month that the concept of the States doing more of the general vaccinations was developed. Figures for Monday were pathetic to be honest. A total of a shade over 56,000 vaccinations for Monday. 2A only officially started yesterday so hopefully there is a rush in a few days and those numbers bounce up.

Those % are somewhat misleading though and seem to more to reflect what was allocated and also the willingness of people to get vaccinated.

The large vaccination hubs in Vic have had ample spare capacity of late up until Monday when the over 50s became eligible..

Vic has had many doses available, and many doses vaccinated but scores a low % utilised simply because the large capacity was there, but not the demand.

I don't know what statistics he is using, I think combining Federal with SA Health, but SA Premier !Marshall announced on Sunday that SA was the leading state in terms of % people vaccinated.

Well, I guess his tactics needed to have changed in that time. It was about this time that Clearly one of his boffins realised that by combining the Commonwealth rate in SA, which is actually very high, and not reporting in twitface and FB the rate that SA Health is doing, makes SA look better. So on FB I source covidlive which does provide the SA health vaccination rate and post that to SA Health FB in their daily update.

Grant Stevens seems to have gone awol recently too. And if we are going to be lectured to by Health then please bring back Spurrier. Sometimes I think I'm watching play school.

Victoria has reported over 10K doses given yesterday; with that it is 18K in the last two days.

That's compared with 14K in the previous 5 days.

I suspect most would be in the Vaccination Centres.

Well looks like over 50's being able to be vaccinated has resulted in a large rise.

Yesterday's numbers were despite it being a very cold and very rainy day in in Victoria yesterday. Note some of the hubs with the surge on have had people having to wait outside when queues have built up.

Personally I have no problems with the stats, its the outcome that counts and the stats indicate perfectly well we aren't being vaccinated anywhere near as fast as we should be.

Lots of reasons why, lots of excuses but ultimately its the jobs of our government(s) to get those numbers up, enough with the ready excuses.

I agree although it’s still an indication of how vaccination is progressing in each state. More so than the Covid live figures, as all the states are combined under the GP figure, so you have no idea of who is doing what

Possibly partly true - if you have a look at the ABC figures Tas, ACT and NT are the best in those terms, which is understandable, followed by WA and then SA leads the rest Change to coughulative and per 100

coughulatively, there is not really much difference between most of the more populated states with Tas and ACT the highest /100 rate..

Note Vic and NSW are essentially the same line.




Vic seems to have the largest uptake since vaccinations opened up to the over 50's. But a couple of days does not a trend make.
