Qantas can be quite fast when they want to be.

I have upcoming international travel depending in 10 days. I recently changed my name and the tickets for the travel are in the new name.
I had a trip to Japan a few weeks ago under my old name, so had to change name details and get new passport etc in the last couple of weeks.

QFFF changed the name on my account on Wednesday afternoon and said it would take 10-14 days to get a new card sent out before noticing that I hadn't activated Qantas Cash. After confirming I wouldn't be using Qantas Cash, the agent said they could sent out an older style card without it - would take 7-10 days (ie, arriving Thurs or Fri next week before departing the next Mon).

New card arrived today. Less then 48 hours since changing the name in their systems.
