Qantas to No Longer offer a Points option for Loyalty Bonus

Incidentally I recently earnt a loyalty bonus but there is no option to select which choice I'd like, despite the new rule not yet being in effect.
I had one that I was banking from July that I was waiting until 1st Sept to claim. Just went into the app and couldn't see where the thing went (I could have sworn I saw it there up until about a week ago). Logged into QF on PC and found it in the 'notifications' area and was successfully able to claim my 50SC (there was still the choice of the points or the credits).

On iOS at least if you view your progress towards the next status level you should see the bonus selection. I have until 30 November to pick according to what I see in the app.

I ticked over the threshold for my next loyalty bonus today and nothing showing on iOS so far (other than the countdown to the next one).

Got a response to my email - no to having it applied in my next membership year, and no exceptions. However, I suspect they interpreted my email as asking for platinum status, so I'll still give them a call in November.
Same question I have on Loyalty Bonuses. The Qantas website still says you can defferr the SCs for 90 days.
OK

The standard Loyalty Bonus for earning 500SCs on QF/JQ flights, yes... but that [ability to defer - or choose points] ends on Sep 15th

True. But this thread is about the loyalty “gift” announced not the day QF reported their results.

There have been reports to the contrary, which is why people are asking for a link or other source.
I meant, once you get it there is no option to defer. Once you get it it is possibly too late to defer. One member had no luck but is trying again. I would certainly like to hear the outcome of his follow up as i don't need my gift!
