Didn't realise TG had ordered the A380, an interesting choice for Thai, considering their load factors.

Well, at one stage they did have very good financials, as quoted in this story:

Thai Airways International Pcl, the country's biggest airline, said it expects profit to rise to a record 20 billion baht ($529 million) for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 as it filled planes with more passengers...
