    Hi Lindsay,
    Didn't realise TG had ordered the A380, an interesting choice for Thai, considering their load factors.
    Glad to see us Brissos are getting new B777-200s with (nearly) layflats in J

    Well, at one stage they did have very good financials, as quoted in this story:

    Thai Airways International Pcl, the country's biggest airline, said it expects profit to rise to a record 20 billion baht ($529 million) for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 as it filled planes with more passengers...

    One of the earlier news stories about Thai and their A380 purchases:

    A senior Thai Airways executive has said the airline cannot rule out cancelling its order for six Airbus A380s because of production delays...
