Rules:
1. If he's not on a plane, he's in an airport
2. No checking in bags
3. He has to fly every day if possible with a planned itinerary of as many as 68 flights.

Sure it is. Its a greet idea by the marketing department at JetBlue. cheapest form of advertising they could have planned.

I read an article on this the other day, where he stated at one port he was very tempted to leave the terminals and sleep in a cheap room at the airport instead as the rates were great value, and he was pretty sore. But he's on some sort of mission where he's not meant to leave the terminal. Is he sponsoring a charity?

No charity, I've had a bit of a read of this. It's basically for fun, he's waiting for security clearances to start a new job and put an ad on CraigsList asking for someone to buy him one of JetBlue's month long unlimited travel passes as a joke. Wired decided this might be fun, so they're sort of sponsoring the trip.
While it's certainly not something I'd be doing, I can see the see appeal of the challenge I guess.

For now, I think I’ll pull out my pillow and see what this bench has to offer. She was right; this is the only place in the airport without armrests.
