The wording in the T&C's has changed from previous. It now states:

Are Qantas Flight vouchers eligible for this offer?
Flight Vouchers purchased and redeemed for an eligible flight booking made during the promotion will earn double Status Credits.. Flight Vouchers purchased but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking (for flights that are not booked or traveled within the booking or travel period dates), will not earn double Status Credits.

At least in words, the gift that was gift vouchers may no longer work as previously structured.

I've also received this, but not entirely sure why. I've already re-qualified for WP with 2 months left on my membership year (mine matches the calendar year), but I'm clearly not going to be a P1. I have stopped flying Qantas for a while while I work on re-qualifying WP on Virgin, so maybe they noticed a slight drop-off in bookings, but my flying has always been quite erratic anyway so I would think hard for "Big Data" to really know that. But the point is, DSC isn't enticing for me as with the exception of LTG , I have no use for extra SC's at the end of the membership year. Yes I realise I could book something for next year but I rarely book more than two weeks in advance, months in advance simply isn't possible with my habits/business.

This offer looks fantastic. If I’m targeted I’ll probably make at least one booking I might not have done otherwise. If I’m not targeted I hope I’ll be targeted or there will be one open to everyone next year.

This wording was already present in the Q&As of the last (public) DSC promotion.

I've received and registered. First offer I've received in a long time. New FF year for me with very few forward bookings as I book week to week to wait for these offers. Based on the colleagues who received it's hard to deduce a logic to this one.

Has anyone received a confirmation of registration email? I just did the usual screenshot of the generic message.

But there is a risk if you didn’t receive the first email, although it looks like you registered, you won’t actually get the DSC?

Well I was targeted as well. I haven’t booked a QF flight in a while. I might be booking a flight shortly but now that I have LTG and there is no chance to get to WP these offers aren’t a big draw anymore, but hey they got me to LTG :)

If you did not get the offer or do the email click-through, you will not be registered. Clicking on a registration confirmation link like the one in this post may give you some sort of "proof" that you registered when you didn't, but it doesn't put you in the database and no automated crediting of the DSC would occur, and it's likely QFF would just look up if you were targeted and then deny any claim - so despite the text on the page confirming registration, your chance of actually getting the DSC is minimal.

With some people reporting that they've received offers, I wonder if that's it. A batch of emails were sent this morning and no more. If that's the case, it appears to be a very narrowly targeted offer judging by the small number of responses on this thread.
