Sydney Meetup/Dinner Saturday 12 April 2025 19:30 @ The Winery

Sorry about the delay everyone!

Have been trying to find a suitable option, although as @DejaBrew found last time - it's difficult to find something without a set menu for a group this large.

I have the following as something resembling suitable options

- The Winery, Surry Hills (set menus above 12, but could be negotiable)
- The Drunk Dumpling, Newtown
- Bornga KBBQ, Haymarket

If people are keen for a set menu, then that makes life a whole lot easier - we can go to most places :) Obviously if anyone has recommendations, then please feel free to post

Cheers

The winery is funky and central

Been there a number of times and the food and wine are stellar

Happy with set menu too as long as there are some decent vego options.

Just found this thread - a definite maybe at this stage. Happy with set menu but not keen on Korean BBQ.

I have no dietary requirements.

I will admit to a soft spot for The Winery, but happy to go with the consensus.

Im out as away OS in April. If there is any interest in a 2nd Sydney dinner on Sat 3rd May (the 2nd most popular option) , happy to be involved in organising :)
May 3 is the General Election date!!

FWIW, I'm ok with a set menu. My vote would be for either of The Winery or KBBQ. I have no issue with the Newtown option, but that location seemed to be "problematic" for attendees when we last tried to organise a SYD dinner, hence Surry Hills and Haymarket are likely to be preferable for most.
