Sydney Airtrain (and subsequent travel on public transport)

The gate pass is a rip-off. Last time I used the Airtrain I already had a MyMulti day pass so I got off at Mascot (where you don't have to pay extra) and walked the rest. It only took 20 minutes or so, and the exercise was good. :)

There is an extra charge for using mascot, but not as big.

That was dropped some time ago.

Only the two airport stations have the extra charge now.

I thought it wasn't actually dropped but that the NSW government have paid it. It certainly wasn't dropped by airport link.

NSW Government paid compensation to Airport Link to remove gate charge at Green Square and Mascot, in 2011 I think.

Ahh .. Must have been just after my flatmates who worked at Green Square went back to England
