We walked Harlem last year....was pretty tame (and boring tbh) but I wouldn't bring my passport or wads of $$

Broadway walk done. Over 20kms! Highlight for me was the parks in the northern section of Manhattan. Unexpected and quite ruggard.

Those were the days! Hope we see something like that again in the future.

Not bad effort......I walked that via Central Park, Trump tower, Central station, History Museum (2 hours in it), 5th avenue down to ferry terminal..... Walked on otherside where ferry dropped off........ Then walked back that night via times square......170th+ Broadway same time of year in 2013...... Gatorade kept me going!

Thinking of walking Park Avenue. About 15 kms I believe. Everything of course weather dependant. So far weather has been very kind. I spent much of today in a t-shirt even though the top temp was 6 degrees. The sun shine available when out of the CBD was glorious.

Can confirm that Red Rooster is well worthwhile and we had a delicious lunch with great ambience last year

I have found that hotel to be quite disorganised, but at least they do still accept parcel deliveries, some don’t.

Package drama sorted. Not entirely clear if a staff member trying to scam some stuff.

It's extremely busy (as is the rest of NYC at present. I've never seen people 40 deep at a Macy's register! And last night there were 300 people lined up at the register at Target.) and the front desk is understaffed, but I wouldn't say unorganised. But definitely slow.

I've had packages delivered hundreds of times across the US. No hotel has ever refused. I do send them a message a few days before I arrive letting them know when it will arrive.

Update: Even busier than I thought. 25 mins to get a lift out of the building this morning!

That is extreme waiting for the lift. Very busy time all over NYC.

I have never "lost" parcels that I have had delivered to my NYC Hotel ( Casablanca and its brilliant ) but often some parcels have been misplaced even being found in the letterbox directly outside the hotel !!!

My 3 NYC eating tips are the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien hotel and Rosa Mexicano for Mexican - a couple around. And the supreme pizza at Rubirosa.
