Suites savers now available

It's rare to see 2 x F (Saver) so I know some members like Cove were booking 1 x Saver, waiting for another seat to open up at standard level. Therefore giving them two seats.

At the end of the day you're going to have to be extremely fortunate to get 2 x Saver in Suites.

Yeah this was my fear.

I'm thinking if I booked 1F, then waitlisted for the same flight for the other F seat (but booked into J provisionally), that'd be the best bet for playing the wait listing game.

Alex try calling and if that doesn't work you could do separate flights or book one in Saver and the other one in Standard.
We have a ride in Suites this week and that is one Saver and one Standard.
i am thinking about London so I might go to Melbourne or Sydney to start a complete run in Suites that you cannot do out of Perth.

Cheers cove, will give them a holla.

Ma is jealous of the USDM redemption, so wants in on the action.

Y seats from LHR to NYC are stupidly expensive, to boot!

Getting 2 x Suite Savers not unusual on some routes if you book far enough out - but some routes more difficult than others - JFK-FRA being one - have seen several postes on FT and SQ Talk noting same - I have 2 x Suite Savers MEL-SIN-LHR for June - booked them 350 days out.

2 F Saver and then 1 F Std

CDG SYD

Stuff can happen !

Mrs Albatross and I are back on for our Suites redemption to Zurich. Once again we are making the short trip to Sydney to join the A380 out for the SYD-SIN leg.

We needed to use the call centre for the booking as we added on intro-european flights to better suit our plans. I looked at doing the extra flights as separate bookings but by tacking them onto the redemption we get Biz travel on LH and Agean instead of outlaying cash.

My next issue is deciding how to connect BNE-SYD. On offer is the domestic leg of QF8. That's attractive as it saves having to change terminal at Sydney as we will arrive into the INT terminal. The risk though is if QF8 has diverted on its way DFW-BNE and is more than two hours late. When I look at the recent history History I feel a lot more confident. Looks like they have those reliability issues better managed and it should be a suitable solution.

Our thinking was we could get to see the Fremantle Dockers play in the AFL in Melbourne and then head off from Melbourne in Suites to London. It is a long cut but in AFF land we accomplish more with less (or something like that).

.

I assume that this was as a *A redemption via SQ ?

Did you just transit with thee extra flights, or did you have a stopover?

Today al 12 Suites are booked on our run. Oh no our little secret has been rushed.

Did the booking as two x one way *A redemptions at 132500 miles each way. By sacrificing the 15% online discount and going to the *A redemption table saved us about CHF410 (AUD500) each pax.

Just reminiscing here guys - was thinking to myself only one better image is etched into my mind than this image below:

And that better image is indeed this one:

Jolt my memory please good people - why is second one better?

It was hard for me to understand how with 12 Suites occupied I was the only one drinking the Krug. Way too much responsibility resting on my shoulders this week. Thanks for the photos.

I have been on numerous flights in F and Suites where most of the cabin doesn't take any alcohol... I think it's a waste to turn down such nice Champagne, but YMMV.

I am one of those people who "waste" a good chance.

My liver for some reasons could only handle a small amount - like this.

I'd prefer the second photo - by a good margin

SQ F_2.jpg

But then, fellow pax like Cove / CruiserElite / Penegal ... would help SQ out. Otherwise, my 1-2 glasses would leave the bottle un-challenged.

Those pictures make me so very jealous... *goes off to check KrisFlyer balance*

I think quite a few people drink less for health or religious reasons. I certainly wasn't having a go... And you will probably all live longer than me

Also, a lot of senior business people don't drink that much on work flights as they are either working, reading or sleeping, so may only have 1 or 2 glasses.

It really is a community service we provide... :p

YES I must admit also tad envious of others enjoying this thrill. Timing of 380 flt out of MEL does not suit me heading to PVG or PEK - and return 805 ex PEK only flt to connect with 227 with civilised hours but it has no F - so my opps to ride the big bird in Suites regularly now somewhat diminished. Indeed have to endure std F next Tues MEL-SIN-PVG and J a week later PEK-SIN-MEL albeit on 380 - 6 hrs or so in SIN and no PR - indeed J lounge only - guess I just gotta grin and bear it. :D

I very dislike coming to this thread because I see you good folks all travelling suites as if it's a bus ride to work ;)

I gave you a "like" because it gave me a laugh !

Paying tax is very painful as you know so it has to be dulled somehow.

When you know that unfinished bottle just gets tipped down the drain, it's understandable to feel a little sad at the waste of a great champagne.
