It is ok for a trip with a special lady. It becomes easy when you have had a health scare. A two week break in England in June should be lovely. Took about 45 minutes to work out and book because PER-SIN can only be done separately seeing it is business class but I did grab the A330-300. Trying Suites on one side over and the other side back.

I'm planning to book PER - LHR myself shortly. Is it possible to book this as one or can it be booked over the phone as a mixed class?

I think you should try calling and let us know as I have been doing 2 separate bookings as the web cannot do mixed class.

It's definitely possible, you will be charged the First class miles on the award chart from Perth to Europe. You will need to call them up and have done all of the calculations yourself ahead of time just to make sure they do it correct including 15% discount.

I did this recently for a PER-HKG award where SIN-HKG was in suites.

Just need to ask for a first redemption PER-LHR but have PER-SIN in business as first is not available so you can't not book online.

i don't know how to do a 'notification' but i'm reasonably confident i've read previously that cruiserelite is in the know about the mixed class redemption booking, and getting it at a lower cost than being charged F for a J sector, and being able to do it as one PNR (i.e. no need for 2 bookings). i'm sure they'll reply in due course!

Pozza is 100% correct - if F not offered on one sector then you can book mixed class J PER-SIN then F SIN-LHR but you will pay F rates - 100K o/w is it not compared to J at 70K.

Need call KF to do so and they will honour 15% disc as it cannot be booked online. FWIW IMHO always book 2 x o/w's - same pts and $s reqd but often easier to do so. If you have any probs drop me a pm and I'll give you a contact within KF to call.

Just a quick question
We have a 14 hour layover in SIN, travelling Suites from CDG, arriving at 6.00am and leaving at 20,40.
We plan to go into the city, but would very much like to use TPR as an arrivals lounge for a few hours, go into the city, and back to TPR late afternoon.
Is this possible?

Yes it is deka2 but because I don't do steamy climates very well we take a room at the Crowne Plaza at the airport and enjoy the deep bath to unwind from a long haul flight. When I book I try very hard to have no layover that is much more than about 3 hours.

It is a bit of fun going to the TPR. I can see you are a full convert.
My 2 sons have their first one coming up shortly and I have not told them much about it. I guess I could tell them just before they leave.

It will be harder for my 22 year old son I think. I don't plan to go back to the way we flew before 1994.

Time for sleep. I was reading a competitors financial statement and that did not help my sleep pattern.
We head for London 6 days after our sons go to Los Angeles.

I am pretty sure that you can have unlimted access with repeat enrtries for upto 24 hours prior to your flight. I remember reading a post on another forum of a singapore base flyer who when he had his first f ticket and hence tpr access came in and had 3 meals pfior so that he could sample the full menu.

I have had all day layovers myself...and have used the lounge and then gone into singapore before returning to the lounge. One visit into singapore was to an aussie pub so that I could watch an Afl game .

They don't stamp your ticket and/or actually "check you in" as such in the lounges, so you can easily go in after a flight, go into the city and then come back!

*SIGH* - another one bites the dust .................... I originally had F ex PVG then Suites Saver SIN-MEL booked for tomorrow but due to reqt to bring China trip forward a few days I had to make new booking and flew back to Oz in J on Tuesday ex PEK so have just cancelled my original booking - *SIGH* .................. our ability to enjoy Suites from / to MEL has a very limited future so having to cancel one so sad.
