. FRA/JFK is notorious for being the hardest route to find a saver seat on.

My wife and I somehow managed to get a saver for both of us SIN-JFK this October. Although we did check every day for a long time and checked a lot of dates... One day, it just appeared like a magical unicorn out of the forest!

The wait for it is killing me...

Unlike some other F suites, you can be assured of no light leakage from the forward cabins on SQ.

One more reason to fly ..... with the Singapore Girls !

Again another reason why you would fly no other carrier - as soon as Seat Belt sign OFF crew will walk cabin and pull shades down - did I ever mention that I love SQ?

You know you are a Fequent Flyer when you tip an R rdpt back into the pond without blinking to take up an F next day.

I surprised my wife with a "J" read F trip last year. Mini UXB (aged 8 ) loves to here the story of mummy UXB at the SQ checkin insisting she was " prebooked in 11K, and where exactly is 1A in business class anyway".
Enjoy the surprise
Cheers Danger UXB

On one occasion I surprised my wife with an upgrade from Y to J flying Thai BKK-MEL. When we arrived at the airport, the check-in line for Y was the longest I have ever seen (literally >50m from the end of the ropes). I proceeded to act disgusted and state "this is bull****, I'm not standing in this" and marching off towards the Royal Silk check-in. Mrs Ben (who is a nervous flyer and likes to follow protocol) was chirping in my ear the entire length of the airport with "this is not right", "we are going to lose our luggage" and even "we'll get arrested!". Upon finding a screen in Royal Silk that said Melbourne, I said "there you go, I knew there'd be another check-in", she replied "but if we are allowed to check in here, why are all those other people waiting. My reply "I guess they are flying Economy". Finally the penny dropped and it's safe to say that her demeanour changed in some sort of land speed record and the proverbial frown turned upside down! It was her first experience of J class and the story never gets old for our kids either!!!

We have an Easter 2015 booking SYD-SIN-PEN, currently R SYD-SIN and J SIN-PEN, as there is no F on that flight, will we have access to TPR in SIN?

Our return is in J, waitlisted for R.

Also if you are transiting overnight in SIN, both arrival and departure flights R class, and you stay airside at the transit hotel, are you able to use TPR as your lounge room, coming and going as you wish?
I’m only asking as it looks like the flights SYD-SIN-NRT-LAX, all require overnight in SIN.

Think day of travel for TPR. We have had no issues with arriving in J and using the Suites boarding pass and vice versa as we have no first class from Perth.
We have stayed at Crowne Plaza so we check our main baggage thru to final destination and have a clothes change and deodorant in our carry on.
Rather than fly straight thru to the US we now stop to avoid the 1am and 2am starts out of Perth.
It costs a bit but the rooms are good and you get there quickly.

What's SQ's phone number in Sydney (the one people here rave about)? I called the number on their web site and after punching in I was after first class ticket I got redirected to a phone booking agent who said she could not help me with redemptions. I got redirected elsewhere and had to leave my number for a call back. The call back came about 2 days later (during a weekend), and the agent was not very helpful or knowledgeable. Basically I wonted to know whether domestic tag flights are included in R redemptions or not. And if they are how do I go about booking them.

Cheers mate. Do you know if any tag flights included in international redemptions? I want to book Aus-Germany, but I wonder if the FRA-my destination (which LH does cover) can be included in the redemption?

That is a flight then.
I have been busy booking some Suites flights. Have four to go for a run to the US.

you should be able to, but will have to do it over the phone.

Mine is around 5-6 hours on the fast train (the other side of the country) :-(
you have to book on the phone. It will be a *A redemption if you include the LH leg. You will loose the 15% discount. Your SQ Flights must be savers for it to work. I have done this many times with LH and LX
