Sudden Death on Credit Savvy

Credit Savvy gets you your Experian Score for free. GetCreditScore gets you your Equifax score for free. You may wish to get both. Experian and Equifax use different score ranges so the number you get will be different.

There is also Credit Simple which is one of the other credit agencies. It might be what was known as Dun & Bradstreet.

Why do you think it dropped 300 points?? that's pretty dramatic!

It seemed to be around that time when the first lot of Comprehensive Credit Reporting started.

A few others took a bit of a hit at the same time IIRC, don't think I saw one as bad as mine though.

Nothing out of the ordinary in my history (apart from a lot of applications), never missed a repayment.

Here's my score since July.

I wonder how my other credit references are looking?

(Edit: Just read the 81st comment, will try another history through get credit score & crddit simple)

I've been anchored on 702 for all of 2019 with many new credit cards and just as many credit card closures. All paid on time of course. It becomes boring looking at CreditSavvy

GetCreditScore (Equifax) only moves about 10 or so points each month up or down so hasn't moved much and also a little boring. CreditSimple (Illion) on the other hand have dolled me out a pretty coughpy score which bounces up and down by 100 or so each month from average to bottom part of good.

In the US, having a long-standing card is a positive factor. However there are many differences between US and Aus Comprehensive reporting, so suspect this isn't the reason

hmmm, can anyone possibly shed some light,

Credit simple:
scores have always been around 750s, sometimes down to 650 ish when I applied for heaps of cards
last month according to the graph it was 730-750ish

got a notification, there was a change in my "Accounts"

score dropped down to 540!

ive got no new accounts, and the list doesnt show anything new,
full repayment history on time,
2 applications this year
march for a business master card approved
Aug for another master card, declined/withdrew application

My Credit Savy score dropped by 21 for no obvious reason. Not happy.

I subscribe to all the credit score companies, just for giggles. CreditSimple takes the cake though, they give me 540points, call it "Good" and rank me in the bottom 10% for the 6 demographics they make remarks on, like my street, age, star sign, all of australia etc. That is a joke. (the other two mobs give me >800 points)

I know 'credit' having worked in it for half my life. I am someone with 10+ years address/employment stability, no blemish ever. For someone to be 'bottom 10%" in Australia, they would have to have red marks all over their flippin credit history report. Its not possible, with the limited data that they have before them, for someone to have a significantly better credit history than me, so I wonder who all the other 90% is! (i actually wonder if their website devs got the data upside down)

I have been meaning to email Credit Simple, but I know I am going to get a canned response and that will just be annoying. But this just shows that their analysis is a joke. The only reason to subscribe to these things is to identify events on your history that you dont know about.

I have wondered the same thing about all those demographics and if their IT team have it around the wrong way for the same reasons as you :)

Yes they give me "up ya date" insults too. In my street takes the cake. I can only assume they don't have a credit rating somehow and default to 1000 or something stupid.

Wow, thats good to know. It does seem that they do have it upside down. Hilarious
Somewhere in Australia, there is a near bankrupt bogan being hounded by debt collectors, who looks at CreditSImple and sees that he is in the top 10% of australia and figures that he must be doing ok.

Maybe he misread top 10% of australia as top 10% of his mates

Approved this morning. Thanks. Didn't get a credit assessor, but as noted they found a long closed card hanging around which caused the rejection.

This just happened again.

Auto rejection based on some overdrawn ghost card.

Bank IT systems rarely change do they?

Dont bother, I did months ago and never got a reply. Same situation as you in top % on Credit Savvy, but bottom 10-15% on everything on Credit Simple. Perfelct unblemished record, its a error they dont care to correct.
