Strategy to obtain US Amex

Agree - I have done my details via DocuPost multiple times - so far I trust them more than Qantas/Optus/Medibank etc

Is the danger with sending documents personally and directly from Australia the fact that it will become apparent that one is not a US resident ?

Also what sort of docs are they likely to request ? ID ? Bank statements ?

Not at all - docupost is legitimate service - The banks know you are sending AU passport - so no biggie in my opinion

For those interested in C1, I recommend VX then Venture when the sign up bonuses are good. Once you've held the Venture for 3-4 months, C1 will let you product change to S1. Saves you a slot if you're trying to get the C1 duo.
I’m interested in C1 but keep failing at the ID stage. They specifically want US Government issued ID. They won’t countenance my AU passport even though I tell them in a resident Alien.

How’ve you fared with this aspect?
