We grabbed some return flights from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast during the recent sale.
We flew up on Monday, and are staying in Noosa. Lovely.
After the qld/nsw border closure was announced yesterday, we checked our return booking for Saturday.
Cancelled. In fact, every flight after Friday is now cancelled (and we still haven’t been notified by the airline)
This morning, doing the online chat thing, we requested to be transferred to a flight out of Brisbane.
They want to charge a $131 pp re route fee.
I think that’s a bit rough. Especially since we will have to pay $118 to transfer to Brisbane airport.
Would love to just stay here, but we have lives back at home.

I'd push harder to be transferred to a Brisbane flight.

I've managed to get a Jetstar flight into Brisbane changed to a flight into the Gold Coast. I imagine they can easily do it for the Sunshine Coast.

We tried and tried, but they just wouldn’t.
They cancelled one of the Brisbane flights of Saturday, so there’s only one.
In the end, we just paid it, because everyone else on our flight still haven’t been notified, and we fear the remaining seats on the remaining Brisbane flight will disappear.

Anyone finding that FC or Aunt Betty has some offers that are too good to refuse, at the moment? 😉
