My Dad has "retired" (in quotes, because he keeps retiring, getting bored, going back to work, complaining about work, repeat ad nauseum!) and has decided to travel for a while. I've convinced him a *A RTW fare is the way to go (he was planning to use a series of one ways! Shock horror!).
So I've put together a rather nifty (if I do say so myself) business class itinerary starting NRT for him (gets to around $9k for him, utilising all segments and taking 28950 miles). The question is, should he keep crediting to KrisFlyer? Or start fresh with another *A carrier?
He's elite silver until 31 Mar 2014, with S$8k PPS value and 3500 elite miles currently. Travel is largely medium-long haul in business for him now, so earn/burn rates are more important than lounge access. Also miles not expiring would be handy, as he's somewhat sporadic in his travels.
Aegean I guess is an obvious choice, he'd make gold halfway through his trip. I'm a bit clueless with all *A stuff though, so am happy for any advice!
Cheers
