Recent QFF Classic Rewards Bookings on China Eastern - no E-ticket yet.

Dont know what you mean by US status but ive got it ticketed on the 2nd attempt after calling the customer service. Made booking online and called them not long after to ensure all good. Got ticketed the next morning.

The issue is that when they issued the ticket ive got charged the taxes and surcharges again. I was told one of them would be reversed but cant confirm as both transactions are still saying pending
Thanks for sharing! Which Qantas number or team did you call, and what did you say to get it ticketed? I've called dozens of times, but they keep telling me China Eastern has no reward seats and they can't issue the ticket. Any advice would be appreciated!

i called the main number 13 13 13, option 2 - Manage reservations from memory.
On the 2nd attempt, I told them that on the first attempt it told me something wrong with my payment even though during booking, it said the payment went fine and I could indeed see the transaction pending in my credit card.
She put me on hold for a while but I could hear her talking in tagalog with her colleague about 'validation error' or something (I dont understand tagalog).
Then when she came back to me, she said she had raised it with the ticketing team to issue the ticket and asked me to wait for 24-48 hours, and she would monitor it on her end and gave me a call back once she could see it was ticketed.
On the next day (Sat) around 7am I received the e-ticket starting with 081 number, but I got charged again on my credit card with similar amount. In the afternoon, she called me to tell me it had been ticketed (I was surprised she followed up!). She said the initial charge would reverse, which it has.
Good luck! Please share how you go !

P.S. my MU flight is domestic within China, so not sure if it is any different with international flight

Thanks A LOT, really appreciate the details! Just wondering, are you a Qantas Gold member?

Mine is a Business Class reward from Xi'an to Sydney. Unfortunately, my experience has been terrible. I've been bounced between Qantas and China Eastern about 7–8 times, and spent what feels like 10 hours dealing with this.

One Qantas consultant even told me this was a recurring issue and that they'd never managed to get a ticket issued in cases like mine. If that's the case, I really don't understand why Qantas keeps advertising these reward seats on its website and letting people book them.

Qantas keeps blaming China Eastern for not confirming the seats, while China Eastern keeps referring me back to Qantas. I've called countless times, but always get the same scripted responses, with no proper escalation or solution.

It's incredibly frustrating, and I honestly don't know who else to contact. I've now started taking the complaint to the Airline Customer Advocate (ACA).

Really glad yours worked out though!
