Can someone provide a calculation of miles she will accumulate (she has 30k from first trip) and will their be a status change to PLAT EXEC during this trip and if so where would it occur?
If status change does occur when will it expire.
I am also travelling but as QF gold.
Regards to all

In her AA summary there should be eligible qualifying miles,EQM,and eligible qualifying points,EQP.To get to EXP you need 100000 EQM or EQP.On your proposed itinerary you would earn 28898 EQM,43347 EQP in D.
So on the figures you give would not quite requalify for Plat on EQM but if she also has 19000 EQP then would requalify for Plat until Feb 2009.Still a considerable way short of EXP though.

One can always fire *up* the Millage Monkey as well.

MileageMonkey 0.95013

I get 28903 from that. NB: it uses the GC mapper.

mt

Edit: I'd never 'fire' it, it's too useful for dreaming up interesting routes.

I think you will be around this sort of thing:

Code:
Airline	Origin	Des	Class	Miles Cab Stat Tot AA Miles Qpoints
start	start	start	start	start	start	start	start 30,000 19,000
QF	Mel	Lax	bus 7,935 1,984 7,935 17,854 47,854 30,903
QF	Lax	NY	bus 5,445 1,361 5,445 12,251 60,105 39,070
AA	NY	CDG	bus 500 125 500 1,125 61,230 39,820
IB	CDG	MAD	bus 662 166 662 1,490 62,720 40,813
IB	MAD	TLV	bus 2,204 551 2,204 4,959 67,679 44,119
IB	TLV	BUD	bus 1,347 337 1,347 3,031 70,709 46,140
IB	BUD	FRA	bus 519 130 519 1,168 71,877 46,918
QF	FRA	SIN	bus 6,394 1,599 6,394 14,387 86,264 56,509
QF	SIN	MEL	bus 3,753 938 3,753 8,444 94,708 62,139
Probably subject to errors as MALEV is not factored into my spreadsheet.

I think CDG-JFK is more than 500 miles!
