I'm flying on SQ from SIN to CGK in September.

Is there anyway I can get a Status Match for my QF WP card on SQ Krisflyer or any other Star Alliance carrier? eg UA?

thanks

Darn. UA only status match for 90 days. You have to fly 12.500 miles to get Star Gold for another 9 months.

I don't think I will do enough travel on StarAlliance.

I was hoping UA would status match for the same time my WP card was valid

I will be travelling with AA and using an AAdvantage number to complete a Platinum Challenge. However, I'm already OneWorld Ruby (possily Sapphire by then) courtesy of Qantas. Is there a way to get my OneWorld Status recognised although only my AAdvantage number is recorded in the booking? Thanks.

What benefit are you looking for from you QF status whilst you are AA White? Seating selection?

The other benefits of OWS like baggage and priority checkin can be used. Just keep your QF number away from the booking. I am in a coughfight at the moment with AA on misposted flights - and the last thing you want to do is stuff up your challenge flights!

Thanks simongr.

Seat selection was one thing. Do I have any options there?

Also the check-in. Do I just flash the Qantas Ruby or Sapphire card at the check-in counter then?

QF PS will give you oneworld Ruby status, benifits when travelling AA include:
  • Business Class priority check-in
  • Priority standby and waitlisting
  • Pre-reserved preferential seating
I agree with simongr, keep your QFF number away from the PNR.

I suggest you carry you QF PS card with you and flash it to use the Business check-in. The only other privilege that may be relevant is the seating. It may be better to suck it in and get as good a seat as you can without quoting your QFF number, maybe get to the airports really early and try to secure better seats.

On AA flights, it is my understanding that the only seats blocked for elite FF members are the exit rows. So unless you are hoping for an exit row, don't be concerned about seating. Just pre-allocate the best that is available at the time and keep checking as some people may cancel/change their plans and their seats drop back into

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
