Hi Red Roo, not a good look compared to other Lounges.

Chair.jpgFloor.jpg

Sadly a lot of the chairs have been like this for quite a long time..

Floor not cleaned whist there for 60 minutes. Canberra cleaned every 30 minutes.

that looks pretty typical from my experiences of both QF business lounges and QC Clubs :(

Perhaps QF could introduce a 'tidy eating' campaign to go with their 'better dressed' campaign?

The floor in the MEL J lounge wasn't mich better on Friday and we were there for a few hours...

Sorry to hear this. Did you alert the staff on the day?
I've since passed on your comment to the relevant manager too.

Worn chair (I'm guessing by the window) = see what happens when they don't close at Christmas!

The floor - meh! That's not a knife. Seen much worse in that same lounge.

It can be hard to eat "neatly" off the small tables. Much easier at a proper dining table. I have to admit I've made a mess at times and I've tried to be tidy! As long as there are tables like that I think frequent cleaning has to be the answer.

It's a pity that some customers are clearly not so considerate with their own eating habits to allow crumbs to go everywhere.

full disclosure: I have been guilty of possible once or twice leaving a few crumbs, but I do also try to use the serviettes and plates for their intended purposes :)

Agree. The floor in syd and mel business lounge is frequently filthy. sydney is particularly bad.

RR - this is a fairly consistent issue in my (limited) lounge experience. I'm not in the lounges every day like some, but on the times I am there it is pretty much same same... be it the MEL Business or QC lounges, or the SYD business or QC lounges. (The MEL international lounge was ok last time I was there... but there were only three or four people around and it was very early in the morning.)

I wouldn't even think to notify lounge staff! Any manager doing a two-second walk-around would see the issue... I just assumed they knew about it and decided their cleaning schedule was adequate. I wouldn't mention it to the waiting staff - they seem so busy as it is and are always flat-out. Their trolleys are often piled high with used plates and other service items... mentioning crumbs on the floor would be insulting.

perhaps more staff for the lounges?

Not wanting to start a lounge 'shaming' thread but my chair in the SYD Flounge during a recent was starting to wear in a similar way, but not as badly. I was surprised to see that in the F version.
