I know the answer here has been posted before, but I'm darned if I can find it.

Am looking to use a Star Alliance Europe Pass next year; just used their on-line planner using most convenient flights and of course blanched when I saw the cost of taxes & surcharges (and I wasn't even using LHR!). Abt $800 surcharges etc on top of a $1,000 ticket cost.

Can someone list, or point to a listing of those *A airlines who charge the least fuel etc taxes? Unfortunately being a Europe airpass UA isn't an option :(

Might be out of luck on that one.

I think SK doesn't charge any fuel (or any at all) taxes, but as far as I can tell / remember, this is only on Eurobonus award tickets.

If I had to try, I'd avoid any airlines which are part of the Lufthansa group.
