Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes kpc it has been a winner for both my son and myself. 45,000 Kris Miles have a retail value of about $2,000 provided you can build a redeemable total.

I find the focus on supplementary income incredibly frustrating. It almost nixed a number of previous credit card applications, despite my salary being well above that required. Now I don't even bother including it.
Yes as I just posted above it is perplexing.

I had one card where my wage income was 4 times that of the card applied for, but they then wanted proof of my dividend payments! With over twenty companies invested in most with 2 or 3 dividends each that was never going to happen. They ended up settling for a copy of my last ATO statement as proof of total income which then made it 6 times the min income for the card. So as I mentioned I leave other income off and applications are much quicker these days.

I might have to apply for this card for myself and +1....
+1s application submitted and approved subject to income verification etc etc....Email with verification sent. I need to hold off my own application as having to spend 10K in 3 months for both us may be a little challenging....

edit:
Hi There,
Thanks for your documents and/or information. We’ll start processing your application and should have a response for you soon – usually within 48-72 hours.
If we need anything else, we’ll get back in touch.

Please note that providing the information doesn’t necessarily mean your application will be successful – normal lending guidelines still apply, but we will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible*.

Thanks for choosing St George.

*Subject to our lending criteria, we may require further documentation to finalise your application

...So as I mentioned I leave other income off and applications are much quicker these days.
Agree100%. if your primary income is sufficient, leave all other additional income off, and this will make the St George application much smoother....especially when they want very specific evidence of additional iincome!! A friend who earns >500K pa got knocked back for this card as they wouldn't accept his "proof" of all income!! He was spitting chips....

I could lend you some ATO kpc. That’s what friends are for.
Mrscove needs to push her tax accountant to get a 2017 tax assessment to get this card.

Does donations to Cbr count towards the $5000 spend? If so, 10k would not be a problem ;)

Hi. I'm new to trying my luck with churning cards. Just about to apply for St George Amplified- but wanted clarification. The terms (2.4) say You cannot combine your Qantas Points earned by use of a Card or Cards within Amplify Qantas with Qantas Points earned on another account in someone else’s name.
Am I misunderstanding- or is that saying if I wanted to combine my QFF points already accrued, with my husbands QFF points- that I can't if I accrued my points using their card?
And are Amplified Qantas Points the same as standard QFF points- just earned by a Amplified CC?

She has another, non-tax accountant?

Agreed. I only ever state basic income in cc applications. It makes life so much easier.

Your first point is not very clear - what exactly are you trying to combine?

Amplify points are points issued by the bank and completely separate to QFF. You can use them to convert to other airline miles or buy products (eg. toasters) like you could for QFF. It's just another "currency" and you can only pick one type to earn with this card - QFF or Amplify.

I handed in my tax agent and auditor registration quite a while ago. Yes ATO counts in the best way kpc.
I paid the niece’s university fees....much less than her private school fees. Only one more year to go after 2018 so that journey will finally end.

Thanks Cove - did you just confirm that ATO (or indeed any Government) spend counts toward the $5000?

What I read in the t&cs is that Government spend does not earn points.

I believe it's saying you can only earn points in your own name, you can't for example earn points on a card in your name for your husband (different name).
I'm not familiar with amplify but you could transfer your Qantas points to your husband once posted to your QFF account as a work around.

Cancelled some cards and applied today. Instant approval, subject to supplying required documentation re income.

Emailed payslips within 24 hours.

Received an SMS telling me that they have received a high volume of applications and they are behind in processing.

I got immediately approved, subject to verification. Emailed docs straightaway and got approved less than 24 hours later.

FWIW on the link they had about submitting documents using the pre-filled email form, I used the same subject line but using a web client. Guessing the subject line formatting had something to do with their system receiving or "tracking" it.

I sent through my docs via email immediately after applying on Friday afternoon and got approved by sms at 1930 that same evening. I assume staff are working around the clock to get through the backlog.

Aren't you just allowing for that pay increase that's coming your way? Or if self employed then you have to allow for inflation and growth, right?

Only if they ask for proof.

My wife was asked for payslips, this week, as was I, 9 months back. (It was time to do the tag-team churn on this card by my wife and I. )

I think it is perfectly acceptable. Nobody knows their exact gross income in the current year (you know your annual income once you finish your tax return, and the ATO agrees with you). I always declare my annual income less than what’s shown in my payslip, never got any question as they must assume that I can salary sacrify for the remaining of the financial year. The same for inflating income, you don’t know if you would pick up some casual work later.

All good. I've been fully approved and cards are apparently on the way. I've got a $5k+ bill to pay by Friday-week at the latest so I hope the card arrives by then. I did see in the T&Cs that BPay transaction either are eligible for the minium $5k spend or aren't eligible for points period so worth checking.
