Sorry if these questions have been asked before but I’m asking for my parents who are flying CBR-SIN ret with SQ in J early next year.
From what I can see they would get lounge access in CBR at the VA lounge but on the return journey they return via SYD with a 70 minute stop over. Would they have any lounge access in SYD or is there even enough time (both are in their 70’s but quite fit)
I’m also assuming that because the flight is marked as SQ288 all the way that no extra SC’s are earnt for the SYD-CBR leg?
Any pros and cons on the seating, both prefer window seats but aren’t fussy

Yes, no extra status credits for the CBR-SYD hop as the flight number does not change.

They will have access to the VA domestic lounge in CBR, which is before immigration. On the return, I don't see any reason they couldn't use the SQ lounge during the transit in SYD.

If flying SYD-CBR-SIN (which your parents are not), you don't get lounge access in CBR as the lounge is not located in the international departures area.
