I've even called them and they have told me that for when I plan to fly in April, there will be premium economy, but on their website it states it's a mixed class fare.

Anyone know how to check this? This site is a bit out of date what with covid flight changes.
Premium Economy seats by route

Many thanks.

On the BNE-SIN route, it looks like 1/3 daily flights will have Premium Economy in April. The other two will be operated by regional-configured A350s without Premium Economy.

The flights with this cabin available are:
  • SQ246 BNE-SIN (23:50 departure)
  • SQ245 SIN-BNE (09:55 departure)
With this in mind, I have no clue why the SQ website is trying to sell you a mixed class fare, even on flights where PE is available between BNE-SIN. Something doesn't seem right.

If you don't mind detouring, some SYD-SIN and MEL-SIN flights also have Premium Economy.

I know it's been a moving feast in SQ network planning for Australia flights in the last couple of months with various changes to border settings. I suspect they are reluctant to sell Premium Economy until they're 100% sure they will be deploying the 350 long-haul onto the route given there have been a few false starts already. The recent 5G issue in the US also meant the 350 long-haul fleet has been stretched very thin.

On a side note, the 777 will be returning to MEL at the end of next month for the northern summer schedule.

Interestingly, if you just book BNE-SIN (point-to-point) on SQ245/246 you can buy Premium Economy.

Thanks for the replies, certainly seems like nothing is certain at this stage. I am tempted to believe the call centre was correct and the website is wrong, but who knows...

Will keep monitoring it.

Is it also possible that the connecting SIN-LHR flight either doesn't have PE, or the PE on that date is full, hence the 'Mixed Class Fare' ?

No, because if you click through it says the BNE-SIN flight will be in Y and SIN-LHR will be in PE.
