Update – re these cards;

As stated in Gifts for Cabin Crew thread I rcvd this card from Captain on SQ26 SIN-FRA March 20. Captain came and sought me out after I had provided a small gift to ALL Cabin Crew and Flight Crew – at that time his words were ‘Hold onto this as it might become quite valuable in the future’ or words to that effect.
On return home I coule not locate the card and gave it up as lost, When packing for current trip to Shanghai I did find it exactly where it should have been in my roller bag so I posted images on AFF.
There was other input that these were ‘Available to any passenger’ which just did not sound right to me so my mission on S!238 Mar 3 and SQ830 Mar 4 was to find out exact details – here is what I found.
I showed the above images to IFM naz_r on 238 – he had never heard or seen them before. I asked him check with Captain and info I got back was YES he had rcvd a small pack of these but he hadn’t even opened them yet and indeed did not know how many were in pack. That was a 777 which I already had so wasn’t seeking another one.
I also showed these images to IFM Bernice on 830 – she said yes she had heard something about them but had never seen one. I asked her please talk to Captain and find out what info she could.
Response was that every SQ Captain rcvd a package from SQ for World Pilot Day which was April 26. He had opened his package and inside it was a number of items including some SQ badge, some small wall post and a pack of 30 of 380 cards similar to above. He said he had no idea what he was going to do with these cards so just left the pack at home until he decides. He did apparently say he was sorry he did not have one to pass onto me so such as he too rcvd my standard gift ALL Crew receive - such is life,
What still seems a bit strange that Captain in SQ26 on Mach 20 had the card yet World Pilots Day was April 26
So make of all of this as you will but to any AFFer flying SQ feels so inclined then feel free to request one from IFM or any Crew Member for that matter and report back with response
