SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

If it makes anyone feel "better" I'm flying Scoot SIN - MEL in Y in late January :)

Being the 4th AU-EU trip of the year, had to use up some points and save some cash, but could only get AMS-SIN in J and nothing came up SIN-MEL.

One way J fares are normally silly pricing, so looking at Y. Normal one way Y fares on SQ are around $850 which is fine, but all of January is $1,866, which is laughable

Y+ is $2,550 and J is $3,200

QF and JQ were also $1200-$1,500

Scoot is around $700, so Scoot it is.......... :(
It's Australian Open then, hence the prices.

Yep given SQ’s current loadings on all AU-SIN routes then creativity in positioning flts is something many of us are facing.

SQ’s exorbitant pricing ex AU is really get up many pax noses - but it is what it is so seeking alternative carriers is becoming much more prevalent

Perhaps, I'd say the middle east "war" is a big one as well. So many people not going vie the UAE anymore so it's SQ picking up the slack.

Never had an issue getting 4 J awards before at this time, this year, not even 1 released for saver :(

EU-SIN-EU no issues just AU :(
