Just looking at the following on the SQ website.... for redemption bookings...
"Complimentary Stopovers
You have a choice of twelve award types, each requiring different redemption mileage. Please refer to the table below for the validity and number of complimentary stopovers available with each award ticket type for Online Redemption Booking. Please note that a stopover is not a transit. A stopover means you will be in the stopover city for 24 hours or longer before your next flight.
Complimentary Stopovers
Economy Saver, Business Saver, First Saver
Economy Class, Business Class, First Class
One-way
No stopover
One stopover
Round-trip
One Stopover
Two stopovers
Validity of award tickets"
Six months
Twelve months

My travel plans are BKK - CGK via SIN.
I would like to spend a night in SIN. However I only have enough points for an "Economy Saver" ticket - NOT the "Economy Class" Ticket.
The SQ on-line redemption booking does not allow different departure and arrival dates for the final destination (CGK).
I suppose, (and I have seen this question posed before, just can't find the thread) of the distinction between "Stopover" and "Transit".
Is it possible to be able to clear immigration, spend the night at Crazyhor(s)e then get an outbound flight the following day - without being in "stopover". I thought "transit" meant hanging around the airport?
Has anyone been able to spend less than 24 hours in "Transit" meaning to clear Customs and then do stuff outside the airport - using a SG "Saver" redemption booking?
Please advise - cheers
