Hi!

I'm looking to book 2 x J redemption next Feb for MEL - SIN - DAD - SIN - MEL. When I selected my flights, all legs were available for selection - except I encountered an error message before I could make payment.

While the booking was not ticketed, I could see it reserved in my portal where all my seats were reserved with the exception of the DAD - SIN leg, which is on waitlist. However, when I searched DAD - SIN as a one way redemption, there are 2 savers available for selection, yet even the SQ customer support can't help me confirm that leg.

I don't understand why that leg would be unavailable as a return ticket, yet available as a single redemption and the customer support team can't explain it either.

Has anyone encountered this / found a way to get them to help?

Cheers

Any particular reason you want return?
I tend to book awards as singles for the increased flexibility (where there is no discount for returns)

In this case, I'd prefer a return as I'd like to stopover in Singapore for a week between DAD and MEL

So why not book DAD - SIN as a stand alone then you can have as long a break in SIN as you want

This probably relates to either married sectors (where the availability for DAD-SIN-MEL is different to DAD-SIN and SIN-MEL), although that tends to be the case where you are connecting, or could be point of sale restrictions where availability can vary based on the country where the ticket is sold (eg Australia for a return ticket, Vietnam for a one way ticket from Danang).
