According to this Point Hacks article which was posted on January 18 "Unlock 2 years of KrisFlyer Gold without flying" SQ are offering a 12 month status extension so we should have it extended automatically to February 2024.

I transferred 250k miles to KrisFlyer on Tuesday and my statement shows the Elite miles of 50K posted as Unlock Status Credits Campaign on 01 Feb. The upgrade to Elite Gold is still not showing. Has anyone else starting without any status and transferring 250k miles had their membership level upgraded quickly?

Nothing yet even for Silver. It shows "KrisFlyer Silver qualification 0 Elite miles. Earned: 0 Required 25,000 by 28 Feb 23"

It's now been updated tonight to show "Qualify for Elite Silver. From 1 Feb 2022 you have earned 50,000 Elite Miles. 25,000 required in total. To qualify, you need 0 by 28 Feb 2023". Hopefully in the next day or so it will update further to show Silver and then Gold.

I've seen discussions about whether you can transfer another 250k miles to KrisFlyer some time before the end of February to get an additional year of Elite Gold status and it seems that it would work, according to a couple of posts I've seen on Flyer Talk.

I am considering this as we are booking to travel to Norway and Switzerland for Feb/Mar 2023 and to then later do a Summer trip back to Switzerland and other parts of Europe, in 2023 or 2024, so I will use the miles I transfer on these two trips before the 3 year expiry, so long as we don't have any more major Covid setbacks affecting travel.

The only thing stopping me TFering another 250K miles to extend my KF Gold end date from 2/24 to 2/25 is the 3 year expiry clock and I already have a million KF points in my account with the clock ticking....400K pts expiring in April 22 will fortunately be extended for another 12 months.

Yes you can. Just don't transfer the extra 250k until your status is updated to show that you have EG now. Starting from no status mine took a few days until it updated as I posted earlier in this thread. Once I was showing as EG with 250k KF miles my Account Summary then showed "Requalify for Elite Gold. From 5 Feb 2022 you have earned 0 Elite Miles. To requalify, you need 50,000 by 28 Feb 2023". If you don't wait until you have been upgraded to Elite Gold the extra 250k won't count for an extra year.

Last night I transferred another 250k miles from Amex and the miles updated instantly, as did the Statement page showing Accruals of 250,000 miles from Amex and "Unlock Status Credits Campaign" of 50,000 Elite Miles. My Account Summary now shows "KrisFlyer Elite Gold requalification 50,000 Elite Miles. Earned 50,000. Required 0 by 28 Feb 23".

I'm about to do my remaining 125K KF transfer too to make it to Gold - I can't actually think of a 'real reason' that I'm doing it, since I have AMEX Plat and I'm OW Gold (thanks to Qatar) and VFF Gold, but when I started 'this points hobby' 4 years ago, I figured that one thing I'd never achieve was OW and Star alliance gold (since I don't really fly internationally enough), but what the heck, right...

1.25 million sounds a lot but 2x return F trips to Europe from Oz esp at Advantage rates won't leave a lot of change! Just blew off 248 K today for 2x J rtn Syd -Kul at Easter.

Yes another 250K Krisflyer which is 500K StG A points TFed before end of Feb will get you Sq EG til 2/25!

Hi all, I wonder if Virgin will reinstate points transfer to Krisflyer then it would work out for me.
Otherwise i only have 250 k Amex points which will probably qualify me as a Silver.

Announced that transfers will resume in 2 months . But transfers from velocity to krisflyer are not eligible transfers for this promotion- only credit card transfers .

Is that to transfer VA points to SQ. I do not have that many points at the moment as I off loaded all of mine before the devaluation and the rest before VA went in to administration. I like many others would welcome the resumption of points transfers.
