Yes and no, but this is great for oneworld options.

I wonder if this will encourage CX to re-introduce F options to Australia.
 
Will be interesting to see if this means BA funnels more traffic through HKG than SIN - certainly CX provides better connections to most Australian ports than QF out of SIN.
(and indeed longer term whether BA continues to fly beyond SIN)

Great news with BA/CX stepping in with new options........CX F would be unreal :D BA bringing back BKK will be icing on the cake!

The QF/EK thing.....might just turn out to be be one of the best things to happen for QFF members for a good while ;)

OMG connecting from a horribly cramped BA 747 F cabin, to the spaciousness of F on a CX 747... that would certainly cause BA's premium customers to realise that the grass is greener on the other side. :p

I guess it would look pretty good compared to the poor sods that have to transfer at BKK from BA F to a QF A330 for the past 12 months or so.

might be a bit of a pipedream for CX F to return to Australia routes anytime soon - they are getting rid of their 747s as quickly as they can and the 777s with F are pretty much fully utilized....it might not happen until they make a decision on their future 747 replacement airframe (380vs748)

Connections with CX only seem bookable on legs terminating in SYD. BNE options still on QF codeshares from SIN or HKG...

probably still loading flights - all CX ports in AUS seem to be slated for BA codes:
Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Cairns
