A week or so back I was wandering around Santa Monica, CA and the Sheryl Crow song "Santa Monica Boulevard" kept playing in my head as the worst of earworms.
There are other places I visit where certain songs relating to that place start to play and won't go away. I particularly recall being unable to stop whistling "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty every time I used that tube station in London years ago.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to suffer from this.

Thankfully I don't tend to have "My City of Sydney" going through my head while I'm at home.

I was walking past Baker St a couple of weeks ago and that Gerry Rafferty song came into my head, and stayed there for a while. Now it's back again .

Surprised this didn't get more love.

Was in NZ a few months ago and drove through Te Awamutu. Cue Crowded House (Mean to Me):

She came all the way from America
She had a blind date with destiny
And the sound of Te Awamutu
Had a truly sacred ring

Obvious one but still a good one, New York - New York!

Save me San Francisco, by Train. When the lyrics refer to 'the Tenderloin...' I can definitely relate.

Cocacabana, Rio...

LA international airport every time I am on an arriving flight into LAX.

And tell me you don't think of Flying High ('Airplane') every time you hear the announcements "The white zone is for loading and unloading of passengers only. No parking."

I often get a song in my head for tenuous associations such as on Bruny Island passing the airstrip where someone had put up an international airport sign-Song-LA international airport but replacing LA with Bruny island.
Solomon Islands.1980 stayed at the hotel Mendana in Honiara.Song-Copacabana-At the hotel, hotel Mendana, the hottest spot here in Honiara.Started singing it again last month when we revisited Honiara.
Westin Tokyo.Tune-Harry Lime/Third Man theme. But that is because it is played at Ebisu station as a train arrives.

I remember that Harry Lime theme in Japan now!

What about the pedestrian crossing wait music? I can't recall what it was now - there was one that sounded very Japanese but the other was something like "Daisy/Bicycle Built for Two".

My hangover song.

A few of mine:
Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel at Stonehenge
Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd in the Swiss Alps
People of the Sun by Rage Against The Machine in Tikal, Guatemala

Istanbul (not Constantinople) was a recent one.
The Blondie song Denis Denis at Sacre Coeur
London Calling for me too

Just reading this thread and came across your comment.. unreal, I thought I was a bit mad, but obviously not, there are others out there that did the same, lol . Love that song.

I had a flight change from SFO to SJC and my friend, upon learning of the change asked, do you know the way to San Jose? That stuck in my head for hours after. Wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo.....
