So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

140 Speed limit on Bulgarian motorways! On main roads 120, and then varies of course.

The trusty Renault Clio is going well, easily sit on 140, even if the attached image is less. Got up to 160, not intended, was overtaking a few trucks and had someone sitting way too close to my rear bumper.

Mind boggling that we are restricted to 110, imo.

More noise that a road use charge for electric cars is inevitable ?

“ the treasurer gave his strongest indication yet that he is developing a road user charge, which would apply to drivers of electric vehicles who do not pay the 50.8¢-a-litre fuel excise.

EVs comprised 7.7 per cent of all new vehicle sales in the first half of this year, but their share of the market must grow rapidly for Australia to meet its commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.

The Commonwealth collected $15.7 billion in net fuel excise in 2023-24, with warnings this could disappear as petrol-driven cars are replaced by EVs.”

Agreed, we should follow the German system!

I should have said, Renault Clio rental in Zagreb was a manual, no hill start help, no rear camera, but warning sensors.....

Today, went to the local shops, pulled out of the car park and thought "why are these cars coming towards me on my side of the road.... "

There was no problem really, the oncoming cars were quite a way away!

If anyone had a dash cam, I might get a visit from the local constabulary.

Only did it once os on this trip, no problems as there were not any other cars about.

When driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, two scenarios that catch me out, are leaving car parks and petrol stations. I know where you're coming from

Just purchased a Juniper
My only suggestion as a high selling global vehicle is all the cheap accessories.

If you've got kids rear seat vent covers might save you $s. The rest mostly around how you might fuel/charge it

It's electric, requires a slight change in focus in some circumstances but not much.
(5yo Model 3 here).

small country and city roundabouts actually can be more difficult if you are not paying attention.
I got to 200kmh in a rental Peugeot diesel just following other cars. Just have to drive like the locals. I also used the car horn liberally as per local custom
At the end of the trip I added a few minor dents to the existing collection butI had full coverage🤣

without maps I navigated out of Paris
I got out of Paris and toured France with just the fold up maps you get from the bookshops and Travel agents in Australia and hotel issued local maps in France.

Maps? Maps! They were for small furry cats! :) :) Just follow les routes nationales from Relais Routier to Relais Routier! :)

(It can be amusing on French backroads where you come across a car doing the speed limit with 10 cars backed up behind. When you finally pass it you often find an Australian driving being harassed by the person in the passenger seat haranguing the driver over driving too fast. :) :) )
