Mastercard - Global Issue/Outage

Appears like Mastercard is offline globally.
Digital payments seem impacted.
Some people reporting physical cards are 50/50

Started about 2.25 apparently.

Unsurprisingly, also affects Coles gift Mastercard payment attempt just now Fortunately, Amex to the rescue.

Waited 40 minutes in line to pay for my groceries, they thought it was an isolated issue so were taking cash and ANZ cards only. By the time it was my turn they were willing to try all my cards, and my Visa went through. Otherwise they were taking payment via payid.

Apparently planned upgrade, started in the middle of the night (NY), so hey middle of the night no one will notice. Suppose helps with the logic if you believe in a flat earth.
