So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Told him not to park it anywhere near my place, don't want it exploding near us!
Yes those batteries have a real habit of spontaneous combustion, thankfully we don't carry them around in our pockets the way we do with our petrol powered portable rotary phones that we'd have if this forum were responsible for any sort of technical innovation

There were lots of explosions around home last night, at about midnight. I went for a walk this morning, and there was a Tesla parked around the corner. So, I guess it was in the process of blowing up.

Ok, sister has bought a MB A250, not like her son fortunately with his mobile explosive device. I went for a drive, indicators on the left hand like most euro cars, on the right there is a stalk for the auto box. Push it up to get reverse, down to go forward.

Given that most people here would be used to indicators on the right, I wonder what the fail safe is if you push up and turn left whilst going forwards. It’s nice to drive, way better turning circle than my RS Focus. She is happy, that’s the main thing.

Never used indicators on the right! Always driven Europeans.

FWIW: Unlike a manual, the MB system won’t allow you to select reverse if you are in forward motion.

PS go out to a car park and play with the self parking modes. Fun.

Well, I have to disown my nephew, after talking about buying a Focus RS, Audi A3 RS or a Golf GTI or R, he has bought a .....tesla......

Told him not to park it anywhere near my place, don't want it exploding near us!

Meanwhile I have bought this, hopefully the bits will go into my Escort Cosworth 909 motorsport shell....

Left hand drive or reversed the photo? I’m sure Maxie would love to explore that.

What would cause the car engine not to start when V=12.5.? Measured 3 times

Starter rapid clicks heard when trying to start - like a low voltage/flat battery condition.

Jump start successful

With engine running, initial V=14.4
