Absolutely no idea. Travelling economy on China Airlines with absolutely no status with Skytrax.
Does Skytrax work the same as OneWorld as one can be gifted passes ? One can add to the lounge thingy on here ?
It will be a learning curve.
Travelling with my son's family and on laws on the way back so we are all travelling in economy.
Going over it will only be husband and I , really hoping there is such things as lounge passes
Appreciate the assistance

Presume you mean SkyTeam?
Which airport?
SkyTeam don’t do passes but some lounges such as the SYD SkyTeam lounge are operated by Plaza Premium and offer paid access

Lol see I don't even get the name right
Sydney airport with China Airlines
The SkyTeam lounge in SYD that J pax and elite tier status folk get entry into is operated by Plaza Premium and as such you can pay to enter. For memory they only sell 2 or 5hr blocks and the 5hr block is $85pp, I think 2hrs is about $65

Skytrax is a known scam based "3rd party consultant" that rates airlines/airports etc however also accepts $$$ in exchange for these ratings.

Skyteam which is what you meant to say is the airline alliance, which compared to both the oneworld and star alliance is much more disjointed.

As mentioned prior "lounge passes" don't exist across the skyteam alliance (for that matter they don't exist across an alliance and are always airline specific).

At Sydney airport, there is a "Skyteam" which is nothing Skyteam other than branding, the lounge is officially operated by plaza premium and as a result you can book 2 hours for $76 or 3 hours for $85 (the time is based off schedule departure). That being said $85 will get both a nice meal and a glass of a nice wine (neither of which you'd get at the lounge) so in my opinion one would be much better saving the $85 and spending it elsewhere instead.

There are also other paid lounges in Sydney including the plaza premium or the house but once again if dropping that sort of money you'd be much better doing it at a bar in the terminal that has both better food and booze.
