Can someone tell me is it Vaustralia ,Pacific Blue or do they use a code share to fly to Singapore.

Are you referring to the Brisbane to Singapore flights? These are code shared with Etihad at present.

Thanks yohy.It will be from Brisbane as i don't want to go with Jetstar.Leg room a bit tight.Flew to the states on Vaustralia and found them great. How is the service on Etihad.

Flew this route a few weeks ago, service was okay but not up to Singapore Airlines or V Australia standards. IFE kept me occupied. Was a good price though for a one way flight, I'd do it again if the price was right.

I think i might pay the extra and go with Singapore airlines then.

Etihad is good if you are flying in C or J class, but in Y class, its not very good. I've flown them twice and had the similar experiences. I guess I shouldn't expect much since i flew economy.

Unfortunately i am no longer in a position to fly first or business so try to get the best economy comfort and service i can.Must say i am a fan of Vaustralia economy since flying to the states with them earlier this year.

Yeah I'm a writer so im not loaded with $$ either so 95% of my trips are economy.
Yes VAustralia definately has a good vibe going for it! I've never tried their Y product but I've flown them on Premium Economy to Europe (connecting with Etihad at Abu Dhabi) after snapping up the tickets for a good price because it was a week day flight. I paid $2,800 and i think they are around $4,400 right now.
I gotta say it was outstanding service in Premium economy -- even better than the same class on their sister airline Virgin Atlantic, which I have also taste tested from London to New York.
If you book Etihad, check-in early and ask for exit-row seats 42" pitch, otherwise you are stuck in the standard 30-31" pitch seat.

Does Etihad charge for exit row like Vaustralia does.Which i didn't mind paying as it made for a great flight even for economy.

Nope they don't charge for exit rows, its just a matter of luck. If you book the seats, try to see if you can select it early through the website (which they didn't let me), so I called the call centre and they said they can't guarentee it but can put a request in. anyway that shouldn't be relied upon because i turn up to the airport and I checked in early and i asked the agent, and he said there was nothing on the file.
So i asked whether we could sit on the exit rows and he called over the service manager who asked about fitness, whether we had back problems or disabilities which would prevent us from assisting during an emergency.
After that was cleared, she took over the machine and reassigned the exit row seats to us.

I appreciate the info..Appears Vaustralia must be about the only one that charges for exit row.I might give Etihad a try next year to Singapore after all but i think my trip back to the states in 2013 will be Vaustralia.

That is quite a bit of legroom. What is the wooden looking slat thing below the drop down tray

VAustralia, Virgin Atlantic, Jetstar and Qantas all charge for exit row seats. I hope the other airlines don't follow that policy.

that's the footrest, but i'm only 5'8 in height so my legs couldn't reach it LOL with all my stretching i still could not reach the seat infront of me. I actually think its more than 42" inches -- more like a 50" inches i reckon. which is amazing leg room for a mid-cabin exit row seat. it was seat 20H, which seatguru doesn't say is an exit row seat on the A340-600.

They most likely will eventually.Extra money in their pockets. As with domestic checkin luggage .

yes true, well im going off topic but Virgin Atlantic POLICE their exit rows. LITERALLY

if nobody is sitting in the exit row or "purple seats" extra legroom seat, and someone tried to move there. cabin crew will tell tell them to go back to their seat. it happened on my flight to new york when someone tried to sit in an empty exit row seat and were told to leave because they hadn't paid for it.

No money , no seat.I'm afraid i just love flying whenever i can.Bit addicted to it.Again thanks for the info.Been great chatting to you.

Changi airport has free wifi but I've only ever received the code from the information desk landside. I'll be transitting SIN soon and with the QF lounge closed (early morning transit), where do I go airside to get a password?
