Hi Everyone, has Singapore a TRANSIT Hotel? Arr there 5-30 am don't leave till 3pm, need somewhere to get our heads down for a few hours

Hi bobe,

There is the Ambassador Transit Hotel in each terminal, and they are airside if I remember correctly. There's also the Crown Plaza in T3. It's more expensive and you'll have to clear immigration (although that's usually pretty damn quick) but it's a great hotel. If you are an aviation buff the rooms overlooking the runway are great! I'm haven't been able to figure out how to book a day rate on their website, but if you email their reservations team they'll let you know the rates.

Yes there are transit hotels at SIN. However my preference would be to get out and head into the city for a few hours.

Thanks for that but will have been on the plane *J from midnight so will need to put head down.

I prefer T1 transit hotel as I found I could hear the T3 PA announcements and the beeping of their golf carts during the night/early hours so during the day would be a nightmare for me (I can hear more white noise than the average person).

T1 is more of a cave/secluded from sound and its next to the pool, which is included in the price of your min block 6hr hotel stay.

Yes, and it's worth it. I've had a few long layovers in SIN and always used them. I end up acting so silly from tiredness, I'm sure being able to hole up in a transit hotel has prevented me from getting arrested.

I don't remember who runs them, but the ones I've used have always been airside, closest to wherever I happen to be, clean and quiet with a bathroom so you can have a shower. Absolute bloody lifesavers, especially if you're flying in Y.

I've used transit hotel. Hotel is run by same organisation in all three terminals. Very clean and functional. As other poster stated, room is sold in six hour blocks. There may be a wait between the time you book and when confirmation comes through. Suggest you book, then call to get confirmation.

Agree, and you can use the airport staff canteen for meals ;)

Or Harry's Bar, if it's still there alongside hotel reception. (I think the name Harry comes from Harilela founder's name.)

There's also the new hawker food stalls ("food street") on the same level as the transit hotel in T3. Very cheap for food inside the transit area of any airport, but still exxy compared to hawker food elsewhere in Singapore!

There's also loads of food options in basement level in T3. I must have been through that terminal a dozen times but only discovered it recently when staying at the Crown Plaza at going for a stroll through the terminal!

No noise at all, it's a very nice hotel.
Actually I could hear the plane takeoffs from my room, which overlooked the pool. But I just put the earplugs in. It is a nice hotel and the rooms are great. I'm staying there again next month. Actually, I'm staying in the Transit hotel T3 for the first time on the outward journey, and then the Crowne Plaza coming back.

Pack your bathers in your carry on and enjoy the air-side swimming pool. Unless you specifically want to sleep, lounging about by the pool could be a good way to pass the time.
