Singapore NEW A380 first class not from Melbourne

Hi guys,

Has anyone been on the Singapore new A380 flight on first class from Melbourne? Apparently it’s only on flight SQ 232 or something

I’m struggling to find a flight from Melbourne and they are only departing from Sydney.

Any tips would be great.

You have worked out the answer to your question - the new A380 with 6 first suites on the upper deck does not fly to MEL, only SYD on SQ221/232.

All other SQ 380 flights to MEL/SYD are 12 first suites on the lower deck.

Oh bummer.

Do you know much differences with new and old first class? Is it mainly the extra seat ?

Eg. *Old first class- seat turns into the bed
*New first class- it has a fold away bed and seat.

I’ve spoke to S airlines and they have no idea.

Have a read in this thread from page 16: Fewer Suites, but larger and plusher coming....

If you google singapore suites lots of blogs have covered this to death. Ausbt and onemileatatime are good places to start.
