Singapore checked baggage CPH - MEL

If we are on flight with Singapore from CPH - MEL, with a 25 horr stopover in Singpapore will checked baggage generally go straigh through to MEL, or do we need ot collect it in SIN and rebook next day or is there an option to collect?

Is this also the case when the stopover in Singapore is more than 24 hours?

I would assume so - provided it’s on same Booking Ref / PNR couldn't be a prob - having said that I have never done it as if s/o over 24hrs I have always collected luggage.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case since your stop in Singapore was more than 24 hours. That makes it a stopover, rather than a transit.

Did Gardens by the bay and then crashed. Had 5am wake up for flight to Melbourne. Now waiting for flight to Canberra

We picked up in Singapore and checked in again at counter this morning. Could put overnight stuff in main bag so carry on was lighter, including VA Flight to Canberra tonight
