I am looking at booking a Star Alliance RTW reward trip using krisflyer points. I have a couple of questions:
I'm hoping for the trip to be as follows. Sydney, Halifax, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Paris, Singapore and Sydney (which includes some land legs).
1. If I want to include a flight from London to Frankfurt on Lufthansa on the itinerary, can I book that at the same time as other flights as I've heard Lufthansa only release reward flights to partners 14 days out.
2. If it is possible, can that flight then also include a star alliance intermodal train trip from Frankfurt to Berlin? Or is this only possible on paid tickets, not reward tickets? If not possible, I will just get the train from London to Berlin. I just thought I would take advantage of all the flights I could.
As this is my first time trying to organize something like this, any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated.
