Singapore Airlines More Trusted Than Qantas

First thing I did was check who published the list. Readers Digest Australia? Well there you go, I guess they have found a way to turn a buck*

* not contesting the results but I am always curious who the arbiters of such lists are
 
When Australia's flag carrier gets beaten as most trusted by a foreign countries flag carrier airline - when will Qantas reflect on itself and go, yer we are a half rate airline and maybe its time to change

And probably only just beats another countries flag carrier for 2nd

Somewhat useless. Companies get what they pay promoters for.
 
Well Singapore is a larger and extremely well respected airline known for consistent and efficient service - not really surprising.

Qantas is fine for what it is (a mid sized national carrier) but I'd never choose Qantas over Singapore in any class if given the choice.
 
Dunno. Some of those making the list of ‘winner’ or ‘highly commended’ are just silly. Medibank in the top three? Major data breach. Paradox and nurofen? Parnadol was caught out for being misleading. And the prices they charge compared to generic? Where’s the trust in that? Princess Cruises the most trusted? Covid anyone?

eh. each to their own. I spent many more years flying SQ than I have QF (although each year it's getting closer and closer to parity) and I'd say that QF's FF program is hands down better for what I look for in a program, which is benefits derived from loyalty program both from business and personal travel. I can't see how SQ would top the Star Alliance programs for a number of reasons (earn opportunities, the pretty ordinary elite level qualifications/offerings and the very restrictive expiry policies), maybe the VA tie up makes it more flexible for Australians than other *A programs but for me, I'd place it firmly in the ho hum bucket - I am not for a minute denying the soft product quality of SQ vs QF but I don't care about that at all personally - I just want to be able to travel with family and leverage benefits off the back of airline loyalty and points earn and QF has way more opportunities for that than KF does.

For some people, the soft product is everything, I get that and respect it but I don't think it's reasonable for that to be the single metric that decides the value of a carrier/FF program. For me I don't care one bit, it's tangibles for me, I want easy earn opportunities (think SC earn on award seats via Points Club), to redeem reward flights and access lounges domestically and internationally (incl. leveraging lifetime status) - there's no way the SQ product is better at this than QF is, especially if you live in AU.

Sq soft product? Don’t know about that either these days. Economy meals are now tiny. Qantas is better. Business class? SQ way down on pre-pandemic food wise. Qantas vastly improving on the food front, and wins with amenity kits and PJs. SQ F possibly has a slight edge, but the QF bed probably wins.
 
I’m just amazed that Qantas gets highly commended after a disaster few years, I know social media tends to have more resonance with negative rather than positive reviews but Qantas struggles to get just about anything positive posted about them. Qantas obviously still has resonance with those people who don’t actually fly much.

Bupa "Highly Commended"???

Over the past year, Bupa nursing homes have been taken to task by the aged care regulator for failures including understaffing, a lack of training and assaults in care. Of Bupa's 72 nursing homes: 45 have failed to meet all the health and safety standards. ABC12 Sept 2019

No they are constantly publishing glowing reviews of AJs tenure and QFs performance....
Well in terms of efforts to boost share price and his flow-on exit remuneration he should get 5 stars.
Pity running an airline and customer service just gets in the way
