SINGAPORE Airlines plans to add Airbus A380 services on Australian routes to boost capacity and take advantage of rising business traffic.
SIA is due to get four more A380s this financial year and Mr Menon said the airline was "doing our sums" to ensure the Australian recovery was sustained before boosting capacity.
While the airline was not looking at increasing frequency or adding new destinations from Australia and New Zealand, there would probably be more A380s on Australian routes. "So as the A380s come in, the 747s are decommissioned and 777s are either leased or sold off , you'll find the new A380s taking on some of the existing frequencies," he said.
