Singapore Airlines bulkhead seats in business

Hi guys, I was hoping someone might know when SQ free up the bulkhead seats (which have far more legroom)? Our flight is about a month out and I've tried all my angles with them over the phone but they say its down to the airport controller. I'm tall so legroom makes a difference for me! Would be quite good to understand how far out they open up so I can be Johnny on the spot...
Thanks in advance

Very low chance of them ever being available unless you have sq pps status, absent a last minute cancellation (or op-up) by some one who had selected the bulkhead seat.

Pps (or is it pps Solitaire?) can select these at any time and they're in high demand. Most sq flights would have enough pps pax in business to snaffle all of these seats.

T-48 when online check-in opens if still available - always keep in mind if you select a ‘Bassinet’ seat and it is subsequently req to accommodate a baby you will be req to move seats.

Thanks Kiwi_Flyer. I can see them all still available on expert flyer so maybe there's a light of hope?

I have a pretty good record of securing bulkheads at the T-48 (no status). Maybe i’ve been lucky, or just on ‘status lite’ flights?

Don’t get too excited, but i don’t think all hope is lost!

I spoke to the attendant in J on a recent sq flight and he said those seats are blocked off for families and people with children and babies.
Even though they are wider I’m not sure they are actually longer than the regular business class seats. Would be interesting to know if they are longer.

Though sometimes you are lucky. When returning from LHR to SIN in September I noticed a week out that our seats had changed to a bulkhead row in J. And I am only an Amex SQ Gold.

This is not true, some specific seats are blocked off for those travelling with infants, but certainly not all such seats. They are blocked until close to travel for the use of high tier members.

They’re definitely more legroom - whether it’s due to width or length not sure but more comfortable, particularly if you are tall, as more room for your feet.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I had a reward seat booked earlier this year using Velocity points with my daughter travelling with me as a lap infant.
We got automatically assigned seat 15A on a B777-300ER. I couldn't even change it no matter how hard I tried.
Not that I was complaining because the seat was so wide and long, it fit the 2 of us just nicely :)

Bassinet seats are clearly marked on all seat maps for all cabins - I have never needed to book one but I assume you would need to have an infant booking and call to book.

As dajop indicated other non-bassinet bulkhead seats or held for high status members - again I am lowly *G so i have no idea if these are visible to PPS or Solitaire members.

I have 2 flights on early next week SYD to SIN and SIN to AMS.

Bulkhead seats were available at 96 hours prior - although I could not move myself (not until OLCI at 48 hours)

A very simple "Can you please move me to X seats" request made via live chat was actioned immediately.

I am now the proud owner of Bulkhead seats for both flights.

Too easy!

Did it for 3 out of 4 of us on our SIN-MUC flight on A350 last month. Has to be done between T-96 and T-48 via live chat. Moved to 11 D/F/K and the fourth stayed at 12D!

However no such luck for the rest of the trip (SYD-SIN, MXP-SIN, SIN-SYD) as they are all taken, or only 1 is available (not enough for me to bother changing it).
