A word of caution about TravelSim:
Whilst in Canada last month my credit fell below $10 and apparently at this point you can no longer make calls. I guess this $10 from every account ultimately goes into Travelsim's pocket. Anyway, I tried to login to top up the account and what I thought was my password wouldn't work. I completed the password retrieval form and the next screen told me my password had been sent to my email address. I did this 4 separate times and no email ever arrived. Eventually I completed the online "contact us" form requesting my login details and asking if there were other means of topping up the account. To this day I have not received a single response from Travelsim - avoid them at all costs.

Hmmmmmmmm. Eggsackeree the opposite experience.

I (sorry - SWMBO) managed my account down to less than $2 on the SIM, topped up with $25 and thought that's a waste of my money. Called them when I got back, and was told - "make sure you use the card within 6 months and it will still be valid." So...if I keep it "valid" SWMBO will be able to continue to use the number and the $25 credit when she goes OS next year.

Was happy with my use of Travelsim.

I have booked a short trip to Singapore and Malaysia next month.

I have been looking around for pre-paid SIM cards I can easily get.

For SGD15, this looks OK:

It lasts a week, can be used in Malaysia (& Oz!) and has a few other addons including an EZYLink card with $3 credit.

Does any have any experience with Singtel and/or this product?

Other recommendations? I'll be back a month later and one lasting at least 5 weeks might be better.

Used a Singtel SGD12 SIM earlier this month. Picked it up during transit to KUL.

Worked fine.

Unlikely to ever use 100GB in 7 days though ...

Did/does it allow tethering of other devices?

Pity they don’t have an eSIM plan.

the singtel SIM is great.
Also excellent roaming plans.
I've even used it here in AU, (it roams to Telstra) so on occasions if I went somewhere remote as Telstra had good reception.
I've also used it in Europe, and China to avoid the firewall.

Always ensured it was active pre-covid.

I put the sim in an older phone and used it as a wireless hotspot.

That worked well. I did have one issue the second time with a 4 hour BKK transit - it would not connect to any Local Mobile network.
