Noob question alert!

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been answered before but despite my best efforts of Google-fu, looking here and on the Qantas websites, I couldn't find the answer I needed.

This year is my first time to hit Qantas Silver so I’m not too sure what to expect.

My membership year starts in May and I made Silver in February 2018. I got the complimentary lounge pass with an expiry date of Feb 2019 credited and then I used it in June 2018. I assume this pass is actually for my current 2018 – 2019 membership year (that began in May 2018) and it’s just that I got ‘early access’ when I hit Silver in Feb (part of the 2017 – 2018 membership year). I have not received any additional passes so can I assume I will not get another lounge pass for May 2018 – April 2019 membership year because this became available in February 2018?

Now I have just hit the required SC to retain Silver. Should I expect another lounge pass which is actually for my next membership year that begins May 2019 or do I only get it when the membership year ticks over?

Thanks in advance.

Hi JFi,

From my own experience you only get one complimentary pass in one membership year.
So you're right, you only get it once your membership year ticks over.

Cheers!

Agree. Pax should get one pass on attaining the higher status level, and then on the actual membership year that the status is valid for.

Thanks both for the confirmation! Guess I'll just have to wait till next year.
